Double Eyelid Surgery
A surgery that creates a line in the eyelid skin to improve the shape of the eyes and make them look larger and more defined
Natural Adhesion Method
This method creates the line with a continuous series of knots in the eyelid muscle. Double fixation and adhesion reduce the risk of the line coming undone, creating natural, defined double eyelids.
Because no eyelid fat or muscle is removed, this method suits thin eyelids with little fat and muscle. The double eyelid line is not deep and there is no concern about scarring, so natural double eyelids can be created. The thread is knotted in two layers, carefully and firmly, to induce adhesion, compensating for the weaknesses of the conventional natural adhesion method.

Surgical Method
Tiny incisions of only about 1 mm are made in the skin, and 4–6 non-absorbable sutures are used to induce adhesion and create the double eyelid. It can be performed under local anesthesia alone.

Double Eyelid Surgery Q&A
-
Could I need revision surgery after double eyelid surgery?Yes, revision surgery may be needed if the double eyelid line comes undone or differs from the shape you wanted.
With the buried suture method, the thread may loosen over time, and even with the incisional method, the result may differ from what you wanted as the swelling subsides and the scar settles.
In particular, revision is considered when the line is too high or too low after the first surgery, when asymmetry is severe, or when a scar remains.
Revision surgery is more difficult than the initial surgery, so it is best performed after a recovery period of at least 6 months to a year. -
I'm worried my eyes will look awkward after double eyelid surgery.Unnatural-looking eyes can result when the line is set too aggressively in the design stage or when the individual's eye structure is not taken into account.
If you want natural results, it is important to choose a line that harmonizes with your eye structure.
Setting the double eyelid line too high, or creating a double eyelid alone without ptosis correction, can look unnatural.
That is why the most important step is deciding on a customized design through a thorough consultation with an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon. -
Can it be done so it doesn't look like I had surgery?Yes, a natural double eyelid that doesn't look like surgery is possible.
If you want a thin, subtle line, you can choose the buried suture method or an incisional method with a low line.
If your skin is thick or you have a lot of fat, combining it with ptosis correction helps it settle more naturally.
Most important of all is choosing a design that suits your face shape and eyes!
A successful, natural double eyelid surgery is one where people around you say something like, "Oh? Why do your eyes look so much more defined?"
